1. Introduction

Allergy Food Diary ("we," "our," or "the App") is an iOS application designed to help users log their dietary intake and symptom developments, automatically calculating statistical correlations to pinpoint potential triggers. We recognize the sensitive nature of personal health data and are strongly committed to user privacy.

Our foundational privacy principle is simple: Your health data belongs entirely on your device. The App processes all diary entries and association calculations locally. We operate no databases, use no remote servers, integrate no commercial analytics trackers, and never transmit your private entries off your phone.

2. Data Collection & Processing

The App's data architecture is completely self-contained. Below is a detailed breakdown of what data is processed and where it resides.

✓ Stored Safely On-Device

  • Food Logs: Timestamps, meal types, common allergens (egg, milk, wheat, etc.), and custom foods.
  • Symptom Logs: Timestamps, names (hives, rash, bloating), severity level (1-3), category, and doctor notes.
  • Calculated Associations: Statistical parameters derived locally to highlight correlations.
  • Trial Timestamp: Local install date saved in iOS UserDefaults to track the 7-day trial period.
  • Lifetime Unlock Flag: Standard locally stored StoreKit receipt indicator confirming Pro membership status.

✗ NEVER Collected or Transmitted

  • Personal identity details (names, emails, credentials).
  • GPS, cellular, or IP-based location data.
  • Camera feeds, audio recordings, or photo library files.
  • Dietary logs or health histories (never uploaded to the cloud).
  • In-app behavioral analytics or advertisement profiling tags.
  • Device advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV).

Because of this absolute local design, Apple’s App Store privacy report indicates "Data Not Collected" for Allergy Food Diary.

3. App Permissions

Allergy Food Diary does not request or require device access permissions (such as Location Services, Photo Library, Microphone, or Contacts). All entry tags and logs are typed manually or selected from on-screen options, maintaining a minimal integration footprint on your iOS device.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers a 7-day free trial period. After this, a one-time lifetime purchase of Allergy Food Diary Pro ($2.99 USD) is required to unlock full access. All transactions are securely completed through Apple’s StoreKit framework.

  • Apple acts as the merchant of record. We do not obtain, store, or process credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank details.
  • Apple shares with us only a verified, cryptographic transaction receipt token indicating purchase success. This receipt is decrypted and verified directly on your device.

5. Third-Party Libraries & SDKs

We do not bundle any third-party tracking networks, diagnostic suites (e.g., Firebase, Flurry), or social integrations. The only framework involved in data handling is iOS Core Data, which acts as a structured local database file restricted to the App's secure container sandbox.

6. Data Sovereign Rights

Since all food entries and symptom logs are kept locally on your iPhone, you maintain complete and absolute control of your data:

  • Deletion: You can clear all logs instantly inside the App's settings, or uninstall the App to permanently delete all data.
  • Export: You can compile your records into structured CSV or PDF files locally to back them up or share them at your own discretion.
