Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 4, 2026
1. Privacy Philosophy
Epley Companion is built from the ground up to respect your absolute right to privacy. We believe that your health data is yours alone. To ensure this, the application is designed to operate entirely offline. It does not require any network permissions, nor does it connect to external servers.
2. Information Collection
Because the app contains no server infrastructure and does not transmit data over the internet, we collect zero personal data:
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or accounts.
- No Health Data Uploads: Your symptom logs, dizziness history, affected ear side, and completed Epley sessions are never transmitted to us or any third parties.
- No Location Tracking: We do not track your location.
- No Diagnostic/Telemetry Data: We do not integrate any network-based analytics platforms or crash recorders that upload details about your device usage.
3. Local Storage & Security
All recorded logs and recovery parameters are stored securely and locally on your iOS device using Apple's local file storage and preference sandbox:
- Your recovery log is stored in the application's isolated sandbox directory and cannot be read by other apps.
- All data is instantly and permanently deleted from your device if you uninstall the app or press the "Clear All" button in the History Journal.
4. In-App Purchases & Licensing
Lending to our design, purchase states (such as Free Trial status and Pro unlocks) are evaluated locally on your device based on secure system tokens. No network connections are initiated by the app to verify purchase states.
5. Children's Privacy
Since the application does not collect, store, or transmit any data of any kind (whether personal, health-related, or anonymous), we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to align with app revisions. However, our core philosophy remains unchanged: your data will always remain 100% offline, local, and private on your device.
