StomaLog ("we," "our," or "the App") is an iOS utility that helps ostomy patients track their pouch change sessions, stool output, leakage events, and peristomal skin health. The App provides change reminders, calendar history, and exportable CSV and PDF reports. This Privacy Policy explains how StomaLog handles information when you use it.
StomaLog is built on a privacy-first principle: everything happens on your device. The App does not have a backend, has no servers, contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no tracking libraries, and never transmits any of your information to us or any third party.
StomaLog does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
Apple's App Store privacy nutrition label for StomaLog reads "Data Linked to You — Purchases", which refers solely to the in-app purchase transaction processed by Apple's StoreKit. The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any purchase or financial information.
The following information is stored only on your iPhone, never transmitted:
Documents/StomaPhotos/). Photos are never saved to
your Photo Library unless you explicitly choose to export them, and are never uploaded
anywhere.None of this information leaves your device. You can wipe all of it at any time by using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings, or by deleting the App.
When you download StomaLog, Apple may collect information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. This includes app-download metadata and optional crash reports if you have opted in to share them with developers. We do not have access to any personally identifiable information through Apple.
StomaLog may request the following permissions:
The App does not access your microphone, location, contacts, calendar, health data, or motion sensors.
All data entry, history views, calendar, photo annotation, CSV export, and PDF report generation work entirely offline. No network call is ever required to use any feature of the App. Your pouch change records, skin photos, and personal information remain on your device at all times.
StomaLog makes no network requests for data collection, analytics, or telemetry. The only network activity occurs when processing an in-app purchase through Apple's StoreKit framework, which communicates directly with Apple's servers to verify the transaction. No data is sent to our servers or any third party. The App has no accounts, no remote configuration, and no analytics endpoints.
StomaLog is intended for adult ostomy patients and their caregivers. The App does not collect any data from any user regardless of age, and contains no advertising, social features, account system, or external links beyond this Privacy Policy and our support email.
StomaLog does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or social-network SDKs. No remote servers, no telemetry endpoints, no remote configuration — nothing.
Because StomaLog does not transmit any of your information off your device, there is no risk of a server-side data breach exposing your data through us. Your pouch change records, skin photos, annotations, patient information, and preferences remain under your control on your device, protected by iOS's standard sandboxing and device encryption.
You have complete control over the App and your data:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. If a future version of the App introduces any data-collection features (analytics, accounts, sync, telemetry), we will provide notice through the App or the App Store listing before that change takes effect, and update Apple's privacy nutrition label accordingly.
StomaLog is available globally and is localized in English, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Because the App does not collect or transmit any data, there are no cross-border data transfers and no region-specific privacy considerations beyond what is described in this policy. Where local law (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.) grants you additional rights with respect to personal data, those rights are effectively satisfied by the fact that we hold no personal data about you.
