Piano Tuner's Assistant ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how our application operates and handles data.
Piano Tuner's Assistant provides real-time pitch detection and frequency analysis using your device's microphone. All audio analysis is performed entirely in real time locally on your iOS device via the built-in AVAudioEngine and Accelerate framework. No audio files, voice recordings, or pitch data are ever recorded, saved, transmitted, or uploaded to any external server or third party.
Any piano key tuning logs, cents deviation measurements, and piano project session notes that you create in the app are stored exclusively on your device's local sandbox storage using standard iOS local persistence (UserDefaults). You have complete control over your tuning records and can delete them at any time directly within the app.
We do not collect, store, share, or track any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, IP address, device location, or device identifiers. The app does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or analytics tracking services.
The app requests permission to access your device's Microphone. This permission is strictly required to capture live acoustic audio signals for calculating fundamental frequencies and cents deviation. Microphone audio is analyzed in memory instantaneously and immediately discarded.
